Little Lovely and I are always looking for fun activities, and on a rainy Monday morning, the library was the perfect spot.
I’ve written before about our love of Richland Library and how Eloise and I participate weekly in Hello Baby at the Wheatley Branch. Well, today was our first visit to the Main library downtown. Baby was wide-eyed seeing so many children and even made a few new friends while we listened to stories and songs. Following story-time, we were treated to a delightful puppet show about a curious frog. It was just the right amount of time to keep everyone’s attention, and then the little ones were invited to explore books to take home. If you’ve never ventured to the library’s Children’s Room, it’s an amazing resource offering plenty of room to read, play and learn. This summer the Richland Library Friends are posing a Summer Learning Challenge. Pick up a form and register at your local branch or Online and document your reading and participation in library events. When you’ve received all six badges, you’re eligible for a prize! It’s a fun incentive to keep reading all summer long.
