“It’s spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you’ve got it, you want oh, you don’t quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!” – Mark Twain
This year, having spring fever coincided nicely with our family’s spring break, and we packed in events, outings and a beach trip into our week.
The break kicked off with a beautiful Easter weekend and some quality time with family and of course the Bunny.
My dress is by Devon Baer Design and Eloise’s pearl heirloom dress is from Posh Pickle.
We also had a special time taking Eloise to her first Disney on Ice performance and watching her eyes light up as her favorite princesses took to the ice.
The weather was perfect for outdoor activities, so we ventured to Cottle Strawberry Farm for berry picking and eating one afternoon and to Riverbanks Zoo for a morning visit before the crowds arrived.
Eloise’s adorable strawberry watercolor dress is by Little English and her bonnet is from The Beaufort Bonnet Company. Mid-week, we packed up and left town for some relaxation at Litchfield Beach. Although it was a little chilly, our Little Lovely was determined to play in the sand and water! I was grateful for taking long walks, taking in quiet sunrises and even taking time to finish a book, A Man Called Ove.
As an added treat, my mom and brother joined us for a few days. Eloise loved her time with Nonni and Uncle Dillon, and we even got to sneak away for a date night at the charming Caffe Piccolo in Pawleys Island.
My spring fever might not have completely subsided, but breaking from routine to enjoy family and make memories has us all feeling refreshed and recharged.
So fun!!
