A Lovely Unicorn Party…

“Be a unicorn in a field of horses!”

This weekend we celebrated Eloise’s third birthday with a magical unicorn party complete with unicorn rides, sweet treats and a visit from Rapunzel herself!

Luckily, unicorns are on trend right now, so we had no trouble finding fun, decorative items.

My first step in birthday planning once we settle on a theme is reaching out to Shop Love Lucy to collaborate on an invitation that sets the tone. The rainbow unicorn with closed eyes and pink ribbon was inspiration for our decor, cake and even party dress by Grace McMillan Designs.

I found the cute unicorn favor boxes from With Glitter and Confetti Party Boutique and filled with unicorn bubbles, stamps and lollipop, Eloise’s favorite.

Two tiered strawberry sprinkle unicorn cake by Rosie Girl Bakery. It was as delicious as it was beautiful. Check out Rosie’s mobile bakery at Soda City on Saturdays. We served along with Target Magical Unicorn Ice Cream and mini cone horns. Get the recipe here.

This is our third year working with Swirled Patina to design the perfect welcome sign. She also made colorful descriptive signs for the food table.Unicorn rides down the driveway with The Pony Gang Farm from Camden, SC.

Balloonopolis was on hand making princesses, superheroes and even unicorns for our little guests.

Another party highlight was a special visit from Rapunzel, a friend from Once Upon a Princess, who brought a royal decree proclaiming that the birthday girl was a “Princess.”

The best part of all was watching the wonderment on Eloise’s face and seeing her have a ball with her friends. Birthday wishes coming true!
