A Lovely Little Herend…

Non(e)such: A person or thing regarded as perfect or excellence

This definition fully captures the lovely Non(e)such fine gifts store in Columbia, SC, owned by the elegant mother/daughter duo, Jean Bruton and Margaret Mood, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary.

To help honor this milestone, Non(e)such is hosting a special event with Herend Porcelain Manufactory of Hungary. Herend was founded in 1826 and is the largest European manufacturer of handcrafted, hand painted porcelain.

Beginning November 5 from 4 until 7 p.m. and all day November 6, an exhibition of gallery-worthy Herend pieces will be on display and for sale, including unique items from the Herend Reserve, and Herend master painter, Marianna Steigervald, will be on hand to showcase the unique painting technique and to sign purchases.

Additionally, if you make a purchase during the event, you will be entered for a chance to win a gorgeous Herend double duck piece.

There are door prizes throughout the trunk show. On November 5, this beautiful square plate with handles is the prize.

And a bear and ball figurine is the November 6 prize.

Non(e)such is also offering a #myherend social media Giveaway contest right now where you can share a photo on Facebook or Instagram of your most special Herend pieces and why you love them for a chance to win a Herend Chinese Bouquet multicolor tureen and platter (how fabulous!).

Tag and follow @nonesuchltd and use #myherend. You have until midnight on Monday, November 4, to enter, and the winner will be announced during the Nov. 5 evening event.

I love the idea of starting a collection of Herend figurines for my girls to mark special occasions, and I think this sweet little bunny will be the perfect first piece.
