“Peace is the beauty of life. It is sunshine. It is the smile of a child, the love of a mother, the joy of a father, the togetherness of a family“
A silver lining during this stay at home time is spending every moment of the last few weeks with baby Barrett before she turns one year old on Sunday.
Our ever-smiling, easy going girl has seamlessly joined the family, and it’s sometimes hard to envision life before her gentle laugh and big heart filled our home.
As life has slowed down recently, our family has been given the gift of sharing the most valuable commodity, time, together.
So many mornings this year, we’ve made the mad dash to get big sister to school, Baby Barrett along for the ride, and I had wished that we could linger just a little longer over breakfast in pajamas. Or beautiful, sunny days when Eloise was at school, I daydreamed about picnic lunches with both of my girls. The last few weeks have provided those moments and so many more. Barrett and Eloise are bonding closer as sisters, and every giggle that they share melts my mommy heart.
While the birthday celebration that we had originally planned will look different this weekend, the love and joy that Barrett brings our family will be celebrated in a major way.
