A Lovely Little Parade…

“Let’s sing and dance sand have a parade,

Join us to celebrate Barrett’s first birthday!”

Joy and celebrating are not on hold even during this cautious time, so I have relished planning Baby Barrett’s first birthday over the last few weeks. It has been so nice having a major family milestone and positive occasion to look forward to. Serendipitously, we had picked a parade theme months ago for the party since Barrett loves music, but little did we know how fitting it would be.

Working with Jack Paper Co. to design the invitations, friends were encouraged to parade by on their bikes or wagons to practice social distancing, and we set up party decor in the front yard so that our family and especially Barrett would have a front row seat to the action!

She loved waving to everyone and of course digging into her smash cake – made by Izzabee’s Confectioneries. See below for more of the party details.

We are so thankful to celebrate the love and joy that she has brought to our family this year.
