A Lovely Little June…

“The best way to pay for a lovely moment is to enjoy it.” -Richard Bach

While the first official day of summer was yesterday we’ve been in summer mode for the entire month of June.

The famously hot days mean lots of pool time and seeking out other ways to cool off like grabbing a chilled glass of rose at the Hunter Gatherer at Curtiss-Wright Hangar or chilling out with a book at Richland Library’s newly renovated Woodrow Street branch {check out the Summer Reading challenge}

June has also included some fun travels. I met up with my dear friend, Laura Dugan, in Charlotte to peruse the gorgeous Oscar de la Renta exhibit at the Mint Museum featuring an amazing array of couture gowns.

We also escaped to Sea Island, Georgia, for a few days enjoying the beautiful Cloister resort. Having time to relax and even read a few books was a treat although we missed our Little Lovely.

Other recent reads include: An American Marriage by Tayari Jones, The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine, Marriage Vacation by Pauline Turner Brooks, and I am excited to dive into The Summer Wives by Beatriz Williams.}Eloise was having a fun time while we were away attending Princess Tea Party Dance Camp at Palmetto Performing Arts {they offer a similar camp in July}.

We also took time to celebrate the number one guy in our family, Daddy!

And June isn’t over yet! Looking forward to a few more adventures before the month is over. How are you spending these lovely summer moments?
