A Lovely Pizza Picnic…

“There are few things so pleasant as eating a picnic in perfect comfort.” -Somerset Maugham

We are all getting creative finding ways to safely entertain during this unique time. Thankfully, the fall weather is comfortable to move things outdoors, and this week I teamed up with local florist, Perfect Petals, to host a pizza picnic on the patio for my game group.

While they specialize in event florals, the mother/daughter duo of Karen and Katie Hood have now launched a pop-up picnic service to help you celebrate any occasion. From birthday brunches to baby showers or even date nights, Perfect Petals sets the perfect scene. We met in advance to discuss theme, colors and logistics and then they worked their magic.

The low tables, soft pillows, lighting, place settings and fall decor made an inviting space to gather, and the vintage bar cart was just right for our beverage station. I was impressed by all of their thoughtful touches even including a wireless speaker so that we could stream in our own background music.

After dinner, we played a fun trivia game and nibbled on sweet and savory treats from a beautiful dessert board by Wynn You Host. Elizabeth Wynn began her custom charcuterie board business as a hobby during quarantine and now offers tailor made boards for any occasion. With the holidays approaching, a custom board would be a wonderful addition, and you can email Wynnyouhost@gmail.com to place your order.

I wore the Madalyn Dress by Amanda Uprichard carried locally at Monkee’s of Columbia.

Cheers to pizza, Pinot, picnics and perfectly lovely friends!
